Six Dead in Horrific High-Speed Crash in Dehradun After Returning from Party

0

A horrific car accident at ONGC Chowk, Dehradun, claimed the lives of six young friends in the early hours of November 12, leaving one survivor in critical condition. The victims, aged between 19 and 25, were returning from a party when their speeding Toyota Innova collided with a container truck.

Police reports indicate that the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. when the vehicle, allegedly attempting to overtake a luxury car, struck the truck’s rear-left side—a known blind spot. The collision’s impact ripped off the vehicle’s roof, decapitating two passengers and scattering body parts across the road. Eyewitness accounts described the car as a mangled wreck.

The deceased have been identified as Atul Agrawal (24), Rishabh Jain (24), Navya Goel (23), Kamakshi (20), Guneet (19), and Kunal Kukreja (23) from Himachal Pradesh, while the sole survivor, Siddhesh Agrawal (25), remains hospitalized in critical condition. The group had reportedly been drinking and partying before the crash, as suggested by CCTV footage and videos circulating online, though autopsy results are awaited to confirm intoxication levels.

Inspector K.C. Bhatt of Cantt Police Station cited speeding as the primary cause, ruling out fault on the part of the truck driver. He added that since the driver, Atul Agrawal, died in the crash, no legal charges can be filed.
