Biplab\u2019s journey focuses on educating people about using helmets, following traffic rules, and driving safely. He also advocates for a drug-free society and a healthier environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every day, countless lives are lost to road accidents in India. To address this, both central and state governments have been conducting ongoing awareness campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One such initiative is the \u2018Safe Drive, Save Life\u2019 campaign launched by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in 2016. It includes various police-led programs to educate the public about road safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Biplab began his bicycle journey about a month ago to promote this campaign. He reached Bhakti Nagar police station under the Siliguri Metropolitan Police on Tuesday night, marking the 36th day of his journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After a night\u2019s rest, he resumed his journey to Sikkim on Wednesday morning. Before this, Biplab had spread awareness about the campaign in Arunachal Pradesh and neighbouring countries like Nepal and Bhutan. Throughout his travels, he continues engaging with communities, spreading the vital message of road safety\u00a0and\u00a0vigilance.
