Sherpa expressed her pride and joy at the event, stating, \u201cI am glad to announce that it\u2019s a historic moment for all the Sikkimese and Nepalis as for the first time a Sikkimese-Nepali film named \u2018Tara, The Lost Star\u2019 will screen on May 20 at the biggest film festival in the world, Cannes International Film Festival.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Directed by Samten Bhutia and produced by Sabitri Chettri, \u201cTara, The Lost Star\u201d is presented by SADA Productions in association with Passang Mintok Films. The film beautifully showcases the stunning landscapes of Sikkim\u2019s Nathang Valley and Memencho Lake, with Shyama Shree Sherpa and Kiran Dahal in the lead roles, supported by Deoraj Sherpa and Loonibha Tuladhar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The film\u2019s selection for screening at Cannes\u2019 March\u00e9 Du Film highlights its international recognition and the hard work of the entire team.
