On Sunday, with a series of high-profile events and tributes highlighting the foundational document\u2019s role in shaping the nation. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh<\/a> extended greetings, hailing the Constitution as the cornerstone of a \u201cstrong and self-reliant India.\u201d Singh paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar<\/a> and other contributors, stating on social media platform X, \u201cThe Indian Constitution has laid the foundation for a new India.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Droupadi Murmu<\/a> addressed Members of Parliament in the Central Hall of Parliament<\/a>, reflecting on the enduring legacy of the Constitution adopted 75 years ago. In her speech, she emphasised its importance in guiding India\u2019s democratic values and ensuring citizens<\/a> rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/a> participated in celebrations at the Supreme Court<\/a> Auditorium, where he unveiled a commemorative coin and stamp honouring the landmark anniversary. The event also saw the release of the annual Indian Judiciary report for 2023\u201324. PM Modi lauded the judiciary\u2019s contributions to upholding the Constitution, while a short film showcased its historical significance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar<\/a>, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and other dignitaries attended the event, which included the release of two books: Making of the Constitution of India<\/a>: A Glimpse<\/em> and Making of the Constitution of India & Its Glorious Journey.<\/em> For the first time, Sanskrit and Maithili versions of the Constitution were launched to promote its accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Union Ministers Piyush Goyal <\/a>and Pushkar Singh Dhami<\/a> echoed the sentiments of the day, underscoring the Constitution\u2019s role as the \u201cprotector of citizens\u2019 rights and dignity.\u201d In Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi <\/a>led a padayatra and paid floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar<\/a> in Bhubaneswar<\/a>, highlighting the Constitution\u2019s impact on state and national progress.
