In the Asian Boxing Championship 2022 in Amman, Jordan, Indian female boxers are breaking records. The Indian women have been drenched with gold and silver at this illustrious competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lovlina Borgohain<\/a><\/strong> of Golaghat, Assam, won the gold medal in the 75-kg division, earning her first gold medal in an Asian championship. She had previously won bronze in 2017 and 2019. In the championship match, she defeated Ruzmetova Sokhiba of Uzbekistan by a score of 5-0. The boxers manoeuvred around the ring to avoid blows, but Lovlina connected with her forceful fist, and the referee had no choice but to give her the victory. Due to her prior weight category not being scheduled for the Paris Olympics, Lovlina moved up from the 69kg to the 75kg weight category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
