One of his well-known projects is the music video “O Re Piya Re” – A Deepak Thakur song which was released under Zee Music Company, and is available on their YouTube Channel. Pallawib’s recent work “Chhithi” is a short musical film portraying a charming love story, set against the against the backdrop of the Gorkhaland Uprising of 1986. He stated in the introduction of the poets of Nepal’s “Poet Idol” that Nepal is a place that is very dear to him because his ancestors are from the same nation. He is passionate about poetry and firmly believes that it should be accessible to all people, especially the common masses. According to him, poetry and poets are still restricted to a small group of elites, which defeats the purpose of this lovely art form. He writes for the general population and wants his writings to be read and heard by them. He thinks that a show like Poet Idol would motivate future generations to produce more poetry.

Pallawib – Introduction || The Poet Idol || OSR Reality

One significant aspect of Pallawib’s poetry is that it tells the story of and is written for the masses. His poems have a wonderful wordplay that is both beautiful and powerful simultaneously, and they are simple to understand. His poetry doesn’t seem to give much thought to proper grammatical usage or other crucially vital technical details. The reader may more easily relate to the feelings that are concealed beneath Pallawib’s amazing web of words since he writes in his own unique style and uses phrases that one would genuinely use in their daily life.

Pallawib is now in Group B, which has a total of seven competitors. In the international category, he was chosen as one of the Top 14. These 7 contestants were made to watch a short drama for the Top 14 round, and were then instructed to compose a poem based on their interpretation of the play.

The performance that was on display was heartbreaking because it discussed the worst reality for Nepali people from both India and Nepal. People in Nepal are compelled to leave their homes in pursuit of employment due to the country’s dire economic situation. The majority of the country’s young people work abroad, particularly in the Gulf countries of Dubai, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The primary issue on which the play was based was the decline in labourers’ physical condition as a result of their tough working environment, which resulted in several deaths each year.

Talking about the subject, Pallawib said, “The showcased play made me numb as this is one of the harshest reality. Whether it be India or Nepali our brothers suffering in the scorching heat of Arab World is not a new thing. They are like the birds that have left the nest and now they are unsure if they would ever be able to return. Even many of my friends are settled abroad for happiness of their family and this subject makes me emotional. Since this reality is cruel, the poem that I have written too is cruel and I could write this only by becoming cruel myself. The daughter in the play who was waiting for her father to come back home as he had promised to bring her aeroplane is that one character on which my poem is based. Hope you all will like it.”

The poetry of Pallawib had lovely word arrangements and was very strong. The sets of “The Poet Idol” were brightened by the way he delivered. His poem was about a daughter who was anticipating her father’s return the following day, hoping that he would bring happiness and prosperity for the entire family. She is unaware that her father has already left this world and will never come back. She also has no idea that his father will undoubtedly appear the next day, but it will be in a wooden coffin that she could never have imagined in her wildest thoughts.

After the performance, the judges agreed that Pallawib has a lot of talent. One of the show’s judges, Viplob Pratik, praised him for being a superb, compassionate poet. “We love and remember poets because they write beautifully,” Anup Baral observed in praise of his performance. “However, you possess a special gift that enables you to materialise exquisite works of fiction, and as a result, you not only live in memory but also in reality,” he added. Kumar Nagarkoti, the episode’s guest judge and a seasoned poet himself, expressed his complete awe at Pallawib’s performance. He picked up few lines from the poem such as, “Kaagaj ko dallo ma ghaam poko paarera,” “Chauri parekaa chhan gaau haru ghaam taapi baschan, aba tyaha kasailai baisa laagdaina” and “parkhi rahancha chipleti dhunga khaini maadera, tara uska saathiharu audaina” and hailed it as beautiful pieces of art.

Pallawib also won the prize for the ‘line of the day’ for his beautiful lines mentioned above and also received a limited edition book “Kalpa Granth” by Kumar Nagarkoti as a gift for presenting the wonderful art.

In an episode of “Zest Talk” by the DreamLens TV, Pallawib has shared his story, his experiences and the love for film making. Watch it here
