West Bengal HS result 2024 declared: Abhik Das from Alipurduar in Dooars tops with stellar 99.2%

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the eagerly awaited results of the Class 12 Higher Secondary (HS) examination for the year 2024. The declaration, made during a press conference addressed by the WBCHSE president at 1 pm today, May 8, unveiled a remarkable pass percentage of 90%.

Out of the staggering 764,448 candidates who appeared for the exams, an impressive 6,79,784 students have emerged triumphant, marking a significant achievement for the education system in West Bengal.

Among the top performers, Abhik Das from McWilliam Higher Secondary School, Alipurduar, Dooars, has etched his name in the annals of academic excellence by securing the coveted first position. With an outstanding score of 496 marks out of 500, Abhik achieved an exceptional percentage of 99.2%, earning the distinction of being the West Bengal topper for WB HS Result 2024.

In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph Online Edugraph, Abhik expressed his elation, attributing his success to dedication, support from his parents, and the guidance of his teachers. His aspirations for the future include pursuing Astrophysics, aiming to enroll at prestigious institutions like IISc Bangalore for higher studies.
