The Office of the Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Gangtok, has issued a traffic restriction notice concerning the temporary suspension of vehicular movement through the Manbir Colony work zone. The restriction will be in effect from 07:00 AM on October 18, 2025, to 06:00 PM on October 20, 2025.
This order is issued under the authority of Section 159(2) of The Sikkim Police Act, 2008, based on a formal request from the Roads & Bridges Department, Government of Sikkim. The restriction is necessary to facilitate essential culvert construction work in the area.
Scope of Work
The scheduled construction activities include:
Excavation across the carriageway
Laying of new Hume pipe culverts
Bedding and alignment of the culverts
Backfilling and compaction
Reinstatement of the pavement layers
