“Trollers can live with their mindset, I am happy that my success is now my identity”: Prachi Nigam

Date:

Prachi Nigam, the top scorer in the Uttar Pradesh Board’s class 10th exams, recently addressed the negativity she faced online regarding her appearance. Despite achieving a remarkable 98.50 percent, equivalent to 591 out of 600 marks, some individuals chose to focus on her facial hair rather than her academic success.

In response to the trolls, Prachi expressed, “Trollers can live with their mindset, I am happy that my success is now my identity.” She emphasized that her attention had always been dedicated to her studies, and she had never been bothered by comments about her appearance until her photo garnered attention after the exam results.

Prachi’s family, teachers, and friends have always supported her without criticism, and she remains steadfast in her ambition to become an engineer, understanding that her academic performance holds far more significance than superficial judgments.

Indian chess grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand lent his support to Prachi, encouraging her to stay focused on her academic aspirations amidst the negativity.

Additionally, Prof R K Dhiman, director of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), offered free treatment for Prachi’s hormonal issues, which are common among adolescents and can contribute to facial hair growth. He assured that these issues can be effectively addressed within a few months through endocrinology treatment.
