Four talented individuals from Mizoram have achieved remarkable success at the India Skills National Competition 2024, securing both gold and silver medals. Their outstanding performance has earned them the privilege to represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills 2024 competition in Lyon, France. The competition witnessed a fierce battle among 16-member teams from Mizoram and over 500 contestants nationwide, competing across 63 diverse trades.
Among the standout performers, three Mizo youths excelled in shoe-making, floristry, and fashion technology, clinching gold medals. Additionally, another participant showcased exceptional skills in drone filmmaking, earning a silver medal. Furthermore, three other team members were recognized with the prestigious Medallion of Excellence for their outstanding contributions.
The Mizoram contingent exhibited their diverse talents across various trades, including bakery, beauty therapy, cooking, electronics, and more. Their stellar performance has rightfully earned them the opportunity to represent India at the global stage during the WorldSkills 2024 competition in Lyon, scheduled for September.
This achievement not only highlights the exceptional skills of these individuals but also showcases Mizoram’s prowess in various vocational fields.
